The KSU Equestrian Team is a part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), which holds multiple horse shows every Fall and Spring semester. Members of the team take weekly lessons, participate in team workouts, fundraising events and social gatherings with the club. The KSU Equestrian Team is a great way to meet others with the same interests while allowing members to better both their riding and horsemanship.
The KSU IHSA Club Equestrian Team was established here at Kennesaw State University in 2009 with the help of our head coach, Lucy Molinari. Our mission is to promote horsemanship, teaching, and improving competitive riding of all levels in a team environment. Currently we train and compete in the hunt seat discipline. We provide college students of all levels to interact and train to become better riders and horsemen.
The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) promotes competition for riders of all skill levels, who compete individually and as teams at regional, zone, and national levels. The association was founded on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level. Emphasis is on learning, sportsmanship, and fun.
We compete in Zone 5, Region 2 of IHSA, which reaches across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Our region includes colleges such as UGA, Auburn, Bama, Ole'Miss and many more!
